墨尔本文波雅思外教为大家视频示范如何回答雅思口语一月新题:a person you dislike but have to be friendly to, 外教笑称这是一道loaded question。
Describe a person you dislike but you still need to treat that person friendly
Who the person is
Why you dislike him or her
Why you have to be friendly to
Somebody that I dislike but still have to be friendly to, it makes me roll my eyes thinking I have to be polite to this person, is my good friend’s boyfriend. I don’t like him because he is very sexist and very raciest. He always have something to say about someone who looks different from him. For example, with recent events in Sydney and in France, he will say a lot of anti-Islam comments. It makes me so mad, because one person can’t represent 23% of world’s population. He is just intolerant. He doesn’t understand, so he doesn’t like it. I hate that kind of person. I don’t just dislike him, I hate him because they are choosing to be ignorant, so that’s why I don’t like him.
I have to be friendly to him because my friend is a very close friend since we were 11 years old. She’s very important to me, and I love her, she helped me with a lot of my life issues, I helped with hers. Her family treat me like I’m their own child, so for me, it is a very important relationship that I have with her. She doesn’t like the way he speaks and some of thoughts he has, so the racist and maybe bigoted thought he has. But because she loves the better things about him, she thinks that she can teach him and educate him.
My parents have taught me to be polite to people even when you don’t like him
keep peace and be polite
P3 What are the differences between being friendly and being polite?(这道变态的题又出现了)
友好和有礼貌有什么区别,去年就有这道题,有学生考到这道题之后,在考场上就懵了,完全不知道怎么回答。现在范本答案来了,大家领会精神,作参考吧!
I think being polite is just a normal basic skill that everybody should have, not everybody has it, but everyone should have. Just speak please, thank you and smile when someone speaks to you, or making eye contact when listening. That’s just polite.
Being friendly, I guess is being closer, so that when you make a joke they laugh or when you see them you say ” it’s nice to see you’ other than just hello.
I think there is very large difference but it is mostly through body language that we show it.
