Topic: studies suggest that children spend more time watching TV than they did in the past and spend less time in doing active or creative things. What are the causes and what methods can be used to solve the problem?

TV is playing a significant role in our lives. It provides a great opportunity to people to release them from stressful work and study. However, some children spend too much valuable time watching TV, and it has arisen a public concern. In this essay, I will analysis[r1]  the causes and seeking some possible solutions to this problem.

From my point of view, this problem may be caused by[r2]  following reasons. First of all, some young students spend more time watching TV since they do not have guidance from their parents. As we know, with the increasing accelerate[r3]  of life pace, there is a larger number of couples who spend much time on their work but less time to looking after their children. Let[r4]  their children to watching TV at home, like a couch potato, probably is the best way for these parents. In addition, children, by nature, always want to learn[r5]  knowledge from outside world. However, some families fail to provide this kind of chance for them, watching TV can satisfy their curiosity in[r6]  some extend[r7] . Moreover, schools and some relevant educational institutions should be responsible for this problem. Since there is no sufficient facilities and activities are supplied for children in some areas.

Having considered all of causes above, I think some measures should be taken by governments, schools and families to resolve this issue. First, government should build more facilities for children, so that they have opportunity[r8]  to attend variety [r9] activities in their spare time, which can improve their creativity and team spirits. Apart from that, parents should spend more leisure time with their children, not only it can [r10] strengthen family relationship, but it is also beneficial for children’s mental development.

In conclusion, the reasons of [r11] children spending too much time watching TV are various, in order to address this unpleasant problem, society, schools and families should join together and take effective measures to solve it.[r12]
