The empty space inside a black hole is very much like the empty space outside of a black hole. In fact, if you were fall over the edge of a black hole, the black hole is big enough, you wouldn’t even know that it happened. We could have just fallen across the edge of a black hole. There is no phenomenon that happens when you cross over the edge of no return, you are just in space. And the space inside doesn’t have any characteristics, any samples, any distinguishing features that say you’re now within the space inside a black hole and not in the space outside, so the real new feature of a black hole is that if you wanted to cross back out, you couldn’t and moreover if you wanted to avoid hitting the singularity will you be crushed in your future, you can’t avoid that either.
