Dialogue 2：车被盗报警
A: Mrs. Wong, I understand you are here because your car has been stolen.
B: 是的，我太生气了，我都不知道怎么解释了。
A: Calm down. The car model is a BMW X1 and the rego is ABC1. Am I right?
B: 是的，我新买的车。我3周前买的车。我把包落在了后座上，里面还有很多文件和一个笔记本电脑。
A: It is unwise to leave personal belongings in the car especially if people can see it easily. Is the bag black synthetic fabric material?
B: 是的，是黑色的包，经典的笔记本包，东芝的，具体型号我忘记了。
A: Now let’s go back to the car. Is it the latest model? Does it have the engine immobilizer system? It’s unusual for a thief to drive it away? Did you lock the car?
B: 我以为我就要离开一分钟，就没锁门。我急着去水果蔬菜店。我太匆忙了发动机也是开着的。
I thought I would only be away for one minute so I left the car unlocked. I was in a hurry to a fruit vegie shop. I was in such a hurry that I left the engine on.
A: The car door was not locked and the engine was left on?
B: 我经常这样做，但是之前都没有事。我以为我从店里出来就可以看到车。
A: It is a miracle that nothing happened before. Now did you see your car being stolen from the store?
B: 可惜没有。当我结账的时候，机器没有接受我的信用卡。我很害怕因为很尴尬。我抬头的时候，车就不见了。
Unfortunately not. When I checked out at the cash register, the machine didn’t accept my credit card. I was terrified because it was so embarrassing. When I looked up, the car was gone.
A: I will get the highway police to keep an eye on the car.
B: 谢谢你警官。
