Dialogue 1
Business Bank Account
A: Good Morning, I am the bank specialist of xxx bank. How can I help you today?
Register: record sth in a list, 名词是registration register a company
Enroll: to officially arrange to join a school, university, or course, or to arrange for someone else to do this; enroll in/for a course; enroll my kid in a school/university
Open an account
Close/cancel/delete an account
Turn on
Switch on: cause sth to change suddenly
A: Certainly. Before we move further, can I ask some details about your business?
Is your export company a small business?
A: I hope that so. In our bank, we offer a package service for small businesses.
Package: Australian
Combo/combination: American
I hope the business account could support the function of check clearance.
A: Unfortunately, this package can meet most needs of small businesses, including credit card, xxx, but cheque is not one of the functions. For the business transactions, instead of using cheque, most of our clients transfer money online.
A: I am so sorry to hear what happened to you. But I hope you could trust our bank’s security system which can ensure that your every transaction is safe.
A: If you open the business account today, we need your company registration letter and you also have to satisfy the 100 point of identification check, then we will sort out the credit card for you as soon as possible.
A: Hi, Mrs Wang, my name is Grace, the customer officer of Consumer Affairs. I know you come here to complain about some issues. How can I help you today?
A: OK, then what’s happened? In the computer shop, who did you speak to? Can you tell me some details about when happened on that day? If you don’t mind, I’m going to take some notes.
Installment: buy sth by/in installment
Amortization is the paying off of debt with a fixed repayment schedule in regular installments over time like with a mortgage or a car loan.
A: Did the salesman give you any document? Did you sign any paperwork at that time?
A: I understand that it seems you have made a decision under pressure. I think you must be very disappointed when you left the shop, right?
A: The Office of Consumer Affairs will investigate this matter. In Australia, there are certain laws to protect consumers in such situations.
