Here is a very famous Hubble Space Telescope image. Here on the left, this is what is known as the pillars of creation so beautiful image. It actually doesn’t even look real when I first saw it I thought this was fake. It’s actually real. This is the Hubble Space Telescope in the visible and here’s a new image I was taken very recently in the infrared at the same piece of the sky and I hope you can see with your eyes right away that they look very very different. In the left panel here what you have here is you have big pillars of dust, and in this dust young stars are forming. This is a place where new stars are being created and in fact there’s some new stars that have actually already kinda been created earlier and the stars are in fact the radiation is blowing up this cloud. So this whole thing this pillars of creation is actually getting blown away evaporated by the young stars. But if you look at the right, to the infrared, infrared light is very good at seen through dust and so that’s why it’s very good for your remote control. I can see through things and what you see here are all the stars all the place, they are just completely invisible in the visible, this is because the infrared light actually can get through the dust in clouds. So you see an area where is just a huge number of stars are being formed.
