Well, you can measure the position of a particle in quantum mechanics, there are devices that you can build, and those devices can determine whether the electron is at this location or that location. And within the experimental accuracy of that piece of equipment, after you do the measurement, the electron truly is at this location or that location, so it’s not in quantum mechanics that a particle cannot have a definite feature, like a position, but it only has that definite feature upon measurement, which establishes that feature. Before you do the measurement behind the scenes, when you’re not yet looking, the electron doesn’t have a definite position. That’s the nature of the uncertainty, the probabilistic quality of the quantum physics.
